Program Requirements

In addition to the admissions requirements we require the student to meet the following criteria:

  • 3.0 undergraduate grade point average
  • Essay
  • Current resume
  • Evidence of three years of satisfactory professional school performance on a state-issued certificate appropriate for the assignment area
  • Pennsylvania Instructional certificate
  • Submission of two professional recommendations and statement of support forms. We suggest one completed by the Superintendent of Schools in the district where employed, and one from the principal of the school where currently employed.
  • Prior to the Internship: Pennsylvania Criminal Record and Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearances dated no more than 12 months prior to admission. FBI fingerprint clearance dated no more than 12 months prior to the internship. Negative TB test report dated no more than two years prior to the internship.
