Fourteen Waynesburg University early childhood education majors who are members of the University’s chapter of Kappa Delta Pi (KDP), an international honor society in education, traveled to Dallas, Texas, Thursday, Oct. 24 through Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, to attend the 49th Biennial Convocation of KDP.
Dr. Robert Kefferstan, professor of education at Waynesburg University, was recently elected for a three-year term to the Professional Advisory Board of the Learning Disabilities Association of America. Kefferstan was nominated by Dr. Doris Johnson, Professor Emerita at Northwestern University, at a recent full board meeting. This marks his first election to the Professional Advisory Board.
Waynesburg University partnered with the Intermediate Unit 1 Center for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Education to host CAMP Tech Monday, August 5, through Friday, August 9, 2013. Young mathematicians, scientists, engineers and technology specialists traveled to Waynesburg University for a week of fun, hands-on learning, with morning and afternoon programs for students entering grades 3-8 in the fall.
