Seven students, led by Resident Directors Anthony Jarrell and Liz Diviney, will serve at the Dream Center in Atlanta, Georgia during their fall break. The trip will run from Monday, Oct. 16 to Sunday, Oct. 22.

This is the first year that Waynesburg students will serve at the Dream Center, a national organization of church-led non-profits, participating in a variety of ministry opportunities.

“Our students will be educated about the different needs in Atlanta, and get some practical experience in many of the missions, such as homeless, children and human trafficking outreach,” Jarrell said.

Students participating in this mission trip include:

  • Paige Gilchrist, senior criminal justice administration major from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (Brentwood High School)
  • Moesha Godwin, senior psychology major from Bronx, New York (Harry S. Truman High School)
  • Abigail Kingston, senior sociology major from Fombell, Pennsylvania (Riverside High School)
  • Destiny McCune, senior children and youth ministry major from New Castle, Pennsylvania (New Castle High School)
  • Alexandria Peters, senior history and political science major from Meadville, Pennsylvania (Meadville Area Senior High School)
  • Nicole Romero, senior biology pre-dental major from Cudahy, California (King Drew Magnet High School)
  • Harrison Scott, sophomore biochemistry major from Greencastle, Pennsylvania (Greencastle-Antrim Senior High School)
