Connections that matter!
Faith - Learning - Serving.

Connections that matter! Faith; Learning; Serving. At Waynesburg College, we believe that it is our mission and responsibility to help students make these connections. The ability to integrate these ideals are important not only during their college years, but for the rest of their lives.

All colleges and universities are involved in the mission of providing academic opportunities whether in study or research. Some schools also promote student leadership opportunities. A few schools even encourage community service. Historically, Waynesburg College has retained a commitment to an educational philosophy that values the integration of service and learning. We believe that this philosophy is expressed clearly within our environment of Christian higher education. The Center for Service Leadership at Waynesburg College is not just about volunteerism, its about moving individuals from volunteering to advocacy.

This tradition of service is rooted in the College's long-standing Christian mission in Higher Education. The servant leader model we seek to follow is that of Jesus Christ who came not to be served, but to serve. This servant model is rooted in Jesus' command to His disciples, "Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends" (John 15: 12-13).

With our creative and innovative initiatives, we have developed Service Leadership opportunities for students with a purpose. Students who not only want an education, but also want to make a difference with their education are encouraged to consider Waynesburg College; where connections matter!
