Political Science Minor
Political Science is more than the study of government; it is the study of "Who Decides What." So the completion of a minor in a Political Science is a valuable complement to many majors. Historians, sociologists, and political scientists explore much of the same ground and learn different lessons from their different perspectives. Secondary education history (citizenship education) and social science majors are in the important position of teaching civics to succeeding generations. Business majors need to understand the politics behind regulation and public policy. Criminal justice and pre-law majors will enforce and change the laws created through the political process. Communication majors find that politics forms the content core of journalism. Even the natural sciences are studied and researched in a political environment that determines what will be studied, how resources will be allocated, and how policies will be decided.
