Social Science: Pre-Law Option
For your future as an attorney, Waynesburg College offers outstanding preparation. You will learn and practice the critical skills of analytical thinking, clear and precise writing, and effective public speaking. Your course work will give you a practical foundation in the law, courts, the judicial process, research, analysis, communication, and computers, as well as the social impact of the legal system. You will register with a pre-law adviser who will guide your course selection, help you prepare for the Law School Admissions Test, and update you on career options.
For students with a specific interest in a career in law, we offer a specific Pre-Law program as an option in the social science major. Highly qualified and motivated students may also qualify for our 3-3 program with the Duquesne University School of Law. Under this program, qualified students enter the Duquesne School of Law after their junior year at Waynesburg College and complete their Waynesburg degree during law school. Interested students should contact the Pre-Law advisor for more details.
