Waynesburg
College offers the Bachelor of Science in Nursing
(BSN) degree. The program is fully approved by the Pennsylvania
State Board of Nursing and is accredited by the Commision on Collegiate Nursing Education. The
purposes of the nursing program are:

To provide the student with a science and humanities background
and nursing theory to practice as a professional nurse,
- To graduate individuals who are eligible to take state licensing examinations, and
-
To provide curriculum foundations for graduate education in nursing.
Nursing education at the baccalaureate level prepares a
generalist
who is capable of providing care to
multi-cultural
clients, experiencing diverse health concerns,
in a variety
of health care settings.
The Professional
Nursing Program offers a curriculum sequence for students
wishing to pursue a career in professional nursing. Additionally,
curriculum
sequences are provided for the Registered Nurse, the Licensed
Practical Nurse, and those with non-nursing degrees interested in
obtaining a baccalaureate
degree in nursing. |
