Waynesburg College offers the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. The program is fully approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and is accredited by the Commision on Collegiate Nursing Education. The purposes of the nursing program are:

  • To provide the student with a science and humanities background and nursing theory to practice as a professional nurse,
  • To graduate individuals who are eligible to take state licensing examinations, and
  • To provide curriculum foundations for graduate education in nursing.

Nursing education at the baccalaureate level prepares a generalist who is capable of providing care to multi-cultural clients, experiencing diverse health concerns, in a variety of health care settings.

The Professional Nursing Program offers a curriculum sequence for students wishing to pursue a career in professional nursing. Additionally, curriculum sequences are provided for the Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse, and those with non-nursing degrees interested in obtaining a baccalaureate degree in nursing.
