Annual golf outing to be held at Southpointe Golf Club

Waynesburg University will host its 19th annual golf outing Tuesday, June 8 beginning at 11 a.m. at Southpointe Golf Club in Canonsburg, Pa. The golf outing is open to the public. The last day to register is Wednesday, June 2. All proceeds from the annual golf outing will benefit Waynesburg University and its mission to inspire students to pursue lives of purpose through faith, learning and serving.

Registration costs vary according to level of sponsorship and participation. Golfers can participate in a variety of activities during the golf outing. Sponsorship levels correspond with outing activities such as special recognition, tee signs, photos of foursomes, buffet lunch and a filet mignon and shrimp cookout awards banquet dinner.

The 18-hole course features 6,856 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 72.9 and has a slope rating of 135 on Bent grass. Team and skill prizes will be awarded, and a Chinese auction will be offered.
