Sakchutchawan reviews for international conference, Asia Pacific Journal of Finance and Banking Research

Dr. Sut Sakchutchawan, associate professor of international business and director of the International Studies Program at Waynesburg University, recently served as a reviewer for the Academy of International Business and the Asia Pacific Journal of Finance and Banking Research, respectively.

The Academy of International Business will host the 2010 Annual Conference in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from June 25-29. The conference, “International Business in Tough Times,” will be hosted by Universidade de São Paulo and the Brazilian Academy of Management. Sakchutchawan reviewed two research papers for the international conference.

The papers were titled “Global Supply Chains and Human Rights: A Research Agenda” and “Global Value Chain of Debt: Organizational Constituents and Institutional Context.”

According to Sakchutchawan, 1,072 research papers were submitted to be included in the blind reviewing process. The papers came from 51 countries.

“It was a great opportunity to further expertise in the global business area,” Sakchutchawan said.

In addition to this accomplishment, Sakchutchawan reviewed a research paper titled “Corporate Reporting in Modern Era: A Comparative Study of Indian and Chinese Companies” for the Asia Pacific Journal of Finance and Banking Research.

“It is very important to get involved in scholary activity in my field because it increases the academic profile and university academic growth,” Sakchutchawan said.

In addition to his Ph.D. from Union Institute and University, Sakchutchawan received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ramkhamhaeng State University, a Master of Arts degree from Thammasat State University, and a Master of Business Administration from National University.

Founded in 1849 by the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Waynesburg University is located on a traditional campus in the hills of southwestern Pennsylvania, with three adult centers located in the Pittsburgh region.
