Waynesburg University STEM Camp will be held Monday, July 20 through Friday, July 24, 2015. Total cost for the camp is $350. Scouts will have an opportunity to earn up to five science, technology, engineering, and math related merit badges, and to participate in traditional scout activities like campfires, while experiencing university life in our air conditioned dorms. Meals and housing are included in the total cost. Meals will be served in the University Dining Hall. Available merit badges include: Astronomy, Aviation, Bird Study, Chemistry, Composite Materials, Digital Technology, Environmental Science, Electronics, Electricity, Engineering, Geocaching, Photography, Programming, Oceanography, and Weather.

Reminders for Camp

  1. You MUST bring a signed blue card for each merit badge.
  2. You MUST bring written documentation of completion of each pre-requisite for your assigned badges.
  3. If you have the pamphlet for each merit badge, you may bring it. If you do not own the pamphlet, you at least must have read through the pamphlet for each merit badge before arrival.
  4. We will have some snacks provided, but you are welcome to bring snacks to keep in your dorm room or with you throughout the day.
  5. Each dorm room has a private bathroom and comes standard with a twin-sized bed. Bedding is not included, so bring your sleeping bag!
  6. If you'd like, bring your camping chair for the campfire.
  7. Complete parts A, B and C of the BSA medical form as well as the supplemental medical form and activity consent form. You must mail or bring the forms to Waynesburg University BEFORE the camp begins.
