Competitive Merit Scholarships
First-time freshman students who have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 are encouraged to apply before Nov. 1 of their senior year. If they do and are accepted, they will be able to apply for Competitive Merit Scholarships. Please see each program description for the individual scholarship program requirements (i.e. Stover Scholar applicants must have at least a cumulative 3.5 GPA in order to apply) This application is due on Jan. 9, 2015, and those whom the Admissions Committee has identified as potential merit scholars will be interviewed in February. This application gives students the chance to apply for the following awards:
|Bonner Scholarship||$2,500-$4,000 annually|
|Eagle Scout/Gold Award||$500 annually|
|Fine Arts Program Scholarship||$1,000 annually|
|Jeffrey and Regina Taussig Ohio Honors Scholarship||Full tuition, room and board (approximately $120,000)|
|The Stover Center for Constitutional Studies and Moral Leadership Scholarship||$5,000 annually plus $500 to participate in conferences and an additional $1,000 to defray the cost of an internship|

Pittsburgh Promise Scholarship
Waynesburg University is also proud to participate in the Pittsburgh Promise Scholarship Program. All graduates from the Pittsburgh Public Schools and Charters are eligible to receive this scholarship. Eligible candidates can receive up to $40,000 for up to four years ($10,000 per year). *All of the above scholarships are renewable for four years or until a bachelor’s degree is achieved (whichever comes first), as long as the student maintains requirements set forth in the academic catalog of their incoming freshman year.
