Vaccination Policy

Waynesburg University’s vaccination policy requires the following vaccines for all students:

  • DIPTHERIA-TETANUS-PERTUSSIS (DTP)

  • MEASLES-MUMPS-RUBELLA (MMR)

  • HEPATITIS B

  • VARICELLA

  • POLIO (IPV/OPV)

Waynesburg University’s vaccination policy recommends the following vaccines for all students:

  • MENINGOCCAL VACCINE*

  • HEPATITIS A

  • HPV (males and females)

*Meningitis Vaccine Waiver Form

In July 2002 Pennsylvania passed legislation (Senate Bill 955) requiring all students living in residence halls to either have the meningitis vaccine or sign a waiver. If you have had the vaccine, you will be asked to submit verification from your doctor. If you do not have documentation or do not want the vaccine, you will be asked to sign and return a Meningitis Vaccine Waiver Form to the Student Health Service.

Tb TEST

A tuberculin skin test is required for Education majors upon admission. Nursing majors are required to have a two-step tuberculin test before their sophomore year.

Specific instructions about vaccination schedules and verification forms to be filled out by your doctor are contained in the Health Information Checklist, submitted by all students to the Office of Student Services. Additional medical information is requested from all students on the Health Information Checklist. Student Athletes are required to submit additional forms.
