DEPARTMENT ACTIVITIES & EVENTS

Over four years, Criminal Justice Department students complete a DUI checkpoint stop, conduct a lineup, draft a criminal complaint, and write an application for a search warrant, including the affidavit of probable cause.  In addition, students are required to complete a variety of field projects, allowing them to experience the profession and all it has to offer. Students are also required to conduct interviews with a variety of individuals including jurors, judges, an administrative or regulatory agency employee, a criminal defendant or a victim of a crime. Experiences such as these, and many others, help students to gain experience in their future career of choice.

Other activities include:

  • Mock Crime Scene Workshop
  • Crime Scene Investigation Summer Camp
  • Community Outreach through local elementary school visit
  • Mock Raid
