SECONDARY EDUCATION

Students seeking certification to teach at the secondary level (grades 7-12) must select a major in the field of humanities, social science, or natural sciences. At Waynesburg University the following secondary certification areas are possible:

• Biology
• Chemistry
  
• English
  
• General science
  
• Mathematics
  
• Social Studies (major in history)

Students considering secondary certification should notify their major advisor and the Education Department no later than the completion of 58 credit hours of approved course work.
