NURSING EDUCATION OPTION

The 36-credit Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Nursing Education is designed for the professional nurse who seeks a career in nursing education within an academic or practice setting. Students take core courses in foundational topics relevant for today’s practicing professional, then complete concentrated study in education theory and skill practice.

Included in this program of study is a role practicum which provides the student with the opportunity to precept with a practicing expert in an education role. Flexibility is built into the MSN Nursing Education program should the student wish to complete an additional content emphasis in the areas of nursing informatics, geriatric nursing, or palliative care.
