Major in Sociology at Waynesburg University

In Waynesburg University’s sociology program, students become globally aware and locally active while learning about the needs of individuals, families, groups and communities. Through the outreaches of service-learning, classroom instruction and global understandings, students are prepared for careers in government, social service and educational institutions as well as adequate preparation for graduate study in sociology, social work and allied fields. The integration of Christian faith with practice is addressed while practicing tolerance for the beliefs and practices of others.
