Senior Vice President of Graduate Programs
In her role as Senior Vice President for Graduate Programs, Cummings works to ensure that Waynesburg University remains a leader in graduate programs.
In her previous role as Vice President for Student Services, Cummings managed and oversaw student services and the programs necessary to ensure student success and a quality campus life. Cummings planned and implemented opportunities for student growth and development outside of the classroom. In addition to developing policies and procedures for student services and student life programs, Cummings assessed student satisfaction, student growth and development, and provided supervision for managers and directors of various student services units.
Prior to joining Waynesburg University, Cummings served as a program director at Carnegie Mellon University’s Carnegie Bosch Institute. In that role, Cummings designed, marketed and coordinated the delivery of executive education leadership programs for international executives and Carnegie Mellon University MBA students. Cummings also served as the Business Relationship Director for the Carnegie Bosch Institute where she managed relationships with key account clients and recruited participants to executive education leadership programs.
Cummings has served as an adjunct professor in Waynesburg University’s Graduate and Professional Studies programs since 2009, teaching Marketing, Organizational Behavior and International Business.
Prior to her higher education career, Cummings served as an international business executive in a variety of capacities for more than 20 years. Her significant accomplishments include serving international start-up organizations and leading operational improvements and customer service in Mexico City, Mexico; Prague, Czech Republic; Athens, Greece; Bratislava, Slovakia; Jakarta, Indonesia; and Rome, Italy.
Cummings is a member of Immaculate Conception Parish in Washington, Pa., and is active in her community, serving the American Cancer Society Reach to Recovery Program as the Washington County Coordinator and the Catholic Endowment for Educational Development as a member of the board. In addition to her community involvement, Cummings enjoys running (completing two marathons), skiing, traveling and biking.
Cummings received a Bachelor of Arts in communication from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh.
She has been married to her husband, Mike, for 35 years. They have a 15-year-old son, Aidan.
