The American Chemical Society student chapter was recognized in a chemistry publication for performing 104 annual events. The recognition lists Waynesburg’s ACS chapter in the top five most active chapters in the country.

Brad Davis (Chemistry) was recently selected to serve as the Pittsburgh ACS Section Chair-elect for 2018.

The Department of Chemistry and Forensic Science hosted homeschool labs on Nov. 10 and Dec. 8. They also hosted a Mock Crime Scene on Nov. 11. Through the department, Waynesburg’s ACS chapter hosted a “getting to know your professor” presentation on Dec. 5; Brad Davis was the speaker.

Six Waynesburg University students were selected to attend the PITTCON national conference in March to serve as Student Aids (through SACP with the assistance of Brad Davis).

Kimberly Whiteman (Graduate Nursing) attended the Dean’s Roundtable meeting at West Penn Hospital.
