Jill Sunday (English) had a paper accepted for presentation at the annual meeting of the International Writing Center Association Conference in Chicago in November. The paper is titled, “The Writing Center Director Who Came in from the Cold.”

Bob Randolph’s (English) poem, “The Mayor,” appeared in The Ibis Head Review, Volume 2, number 3 (Fall 2017).

Xela Batchelder (Arts Administration) led two workshops at the Rochester Fringe in Rochester, New York. Batchelder spent time working at the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh over the summer.

Melanie Catana (Fine Arts) attended the American Choral Directors Conference at Elizabethtown College.

Jeremy Olisar and Andrew Heisey (Fine Arts) attended the Balmoral School of Piping and Drumming held at Shady Side Academy this summer.

Heisey also spoke to community members at Mercer Library during a session about Geocaching.

Eddie Powers (Fine Arts) attended the Memphis Film Festival.

Powers also produced and directed “Dearly Beloved,” his 50th major production at Waynesburg University. A reprise of the show took place during Homecoming weekend.
