Teghan Simonton Mar 15, 2019

The Waynesburg University Players will perform their annual spring musical on the evenings of Wednesday, March 27, through Saturday, March 30, at 7:30 p.m. in the Goodwin Performing Arts Center. The cost is $5 per person, and the public is cordially invited to attend.

This year, the players will present “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” based on the well-known novel and animated film. Edward Powers, professor of theatre, said 24 students are heavily involved in rehearsals, and another 12 students will help with the show during production week. Powers is eager to see their hard work culminate in a powerful performance.

The Waynesburg University Players production of “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” based on the Victor Hugo novel and songs from the Disney film, has music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and book by Peter Parnell. It is produced through special arrangement with Music Theatre International.

Tickets and reservations can be acquired at www.waynesburg.ticketleap.com/hunchback. To learn more about the spring musical, contact Melinda Rush at mrush@waynesburg.edu.
