Genna Steele
Institutional Advancement Grant Specialist
Biography
Genna Steele began working at Waynesburg University in 2008, first as Executive Assistant to the Provost and now as the Institutional Advancement Grant Specialist. Her job includes seeking grant opportunities and writing grants, coordinating speaking events, assisting with accreditation, processing affiliation agreements, and any other jobs that assist the Provost and Academic Affairs.
An active member of her church, Genna is currently a ruling elder and Chair of Christian Education. She has also been a member of the church’s hand bell choir for several years.
Married to her high school sweetheart since 1980, Genna has three sons and four grandchildren (so far). Some of her favorite hobbies are enjoying the outdoors, traveling, and reading (especially historical fiction), and she is currently learning to play the cello.
