Genna Steele

Institutional Advancement Grant Specialist

Biography

Genna Steele began working at Waynesburg University in 2008 and currently serves as institutional advancement grant specialist. Her job is to seek grant opportunities and oversee grant applications on behalf of the University.

An active member of her church, Genna is currently a ruling elder and Moderator of the Deacons. She has also been a member of the church’s handbell choir for several years.

Married to her high school sweetheart since 1980, Genna has three sons and four grandchildren. Some of her favorite pastimes are enjoying the outdoors, traveling (domestic and international) and reading, in particular historical fiction.

She is currently learning to play the cello and to speak German.
