Shari Payne
Vice President for Enrollment
Biography
Dr. Shari Payne joined Waynesburg University in the fall of 2015 with a broad range of experience in admissions, financial aid and academic affairs. In her current role as Vice President of Enrollment, she has oversight of the enrollment (admissions and financial aid) and facilities departments (maintenance and housekeeping). Additionally, she is the leadership liaison with dining services on campus and has recently negotiated expanded services, including the creation of a Chick-Fil-A on site and a 24-hour market.
Prior to joining Waynesburg University, Dr. Payne served as the vice president for enrollment management at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, where she was responsible for student enrollment, including the recruitment of new students and the retention of continuing students. Dr. Payne previously served in various roles at Robert Morris University, including dean of engaged learning, director of academic of operations and director of financial aid.
Dr. Payne, along with her husband, daughter and puppy, reside in Peters Township, just north of the Waynesburg campus. She is actively involved in the community, having been elected to the Peters Township Board of School Directors in 2021.
