Master of Arts in Teaching
An advanced teaching degree can fast-forward your career and help you inspire the minds of high school students.
Make yourself more marketable by becoming a licensed secondary education teacher with a passion for learning, service, and leadership. With small class sizes, personalized instruction from professors, and a schedule that takes your busy life into account, you’ll gain practical, relevant experience in a rapidly changing field.
Classes are delivered in online and hybrid classrooms. You’ll take courses in educational psychology, instructional design and curriculum development, teaching methods for secondary content areas, teaching students with high-incidence disabilities and more. Our MAT program leads to a secondary teaching certification in the state of Pennsylvania.
The Education Department is accredited by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, 333 Market Street, Harrisburg, PA 17126-0333 (717.783.6788).
