Graduate Assistantship – Campus Ministry

Job Description:
Position entails working 19 hours a week in the Center for Campus Ministry in conjunction with the work of the University Chaplain and the Assistant Director of Campus Ministry. The position involves providing leadership in the Center for Campus Ministry and using one’s gifts to assist in the flourishing of our Christian faith mission on campus. Tasks will be varied and diverse in nature, but all are related to the Waynesburg University mission. The graduate assistant will report to the University Chaplain.
Duties include:
- Work in collaboration with the University Chaplain and the Assistant Director of Campus Ministry to provide resources and opportunities for students to grow in faith;
- Staffing the Center for Campus Ministry 3 days per week;
- Creating media (video/images) to share the University’s Christian faith mission and to connect students to campus ministry organizations and events on campus;
- Assist with communications and the Campus Ministry social media platforms;
- Lead a Bible study for first year students;
- Assist students in connecting with local churches;
- Collaborate with campus ministry staff to work on special projects related to Campus Ministry and/or other divisions on campus;
- Assist in recruitment efforts for the Office of Admissions;
- Demonstrate a commitment to the mission of the University;
- Other duties as requested

Instructional Services/Part-Time Librarian

QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires an MLS from an institution with an ALA accredited MLS program. This position is responsible for the creation of both face-to-face and online instructional materials for undergraduate and graduate students. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in online resources, and conversant with emerging pedagogical issues related to information literacy and the learning habits of undergraduate and graduate students. Also required are excellent interpersonal communication skills; organizational skills; the ability to work creatively in a collaborative, collegial environment; strong commitment to user-focused services; familiarity with current online resources; and flexibility in handling multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment that includes the main campus and the off-campus educational centers.
RESPONSIBILITIES: This position supports the learning experiences of students, faculty, and staff through the delivery of information from online resources.
The person in this position is expected to be able to communicate effectively to students and instructors; to work with the University’s learning management system, the library’s LibGuides website, and other software as needed; and to identify possible areas of need or improvement in the resources provided to the undergraduate and graduate programs.
The delivery of online resources includes responsibility for the development and management of the online collection; the integration of online resources into the OPAC; the selection, organization, and evaluation of online databases and the provision of instructional resources. Familiarity with web page design and maintenance, presentation software, and development of online instructional modules is also desirable.

Assistant Track Coach (Throws)
