Friday, October 3, 2025

  • Beginning at 10 a.m.  |  Alumni Golf at Greene County Country Club

Join your friends, teammates and classmates for an afternoon on the links at the beautiful Greene County Country Club. Call Don Chappel (’72) at 724-986-8797 or Chris Smithley, Development Officer for Athletics, at 814-248-1333 to make your reservation for a tee time (beginning at 10 a.m.). Cost is $40 for 18 holes and cart rental (payable at course).

  • 6 - 9 p.m.  |  All-Alumni Celebration and Combined Class Reunion at The Denny House in Waynesburg

Join us at The Denny House, located at 145 West High Street in Waynesburg, for an evening with President and Mrs. Lee, Alumni Office staff, and fellow Waynesburg alumni. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be provided, and a cash bar will be available at this open house-style event. At approximately 8 p.m., all reunion classes (grad years which end in a 0 or a 5, plus the Classes of 1974 and earlier) will be recognized in the Carriage House, and President Lee will deliver remarks, including the latest University update. Tours of the historic Victorian house, once owned by the family of Josephine Denny (1915), a past recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award, will also be available throughout the evening. Reservations are required!

  • 6:30 p.m.  |  Tennis Alumni Night Under the Lights at the Bechtle Family Tennis Facility

Join Head Coach Randy Pettit and current Men’s and Women’s Tennis athletes for a casual evening of fellowship, and compete in some friendly exhibition matches under the lights at the Bechtle Family Tennis Facility! Complimentary light refreshments will be provided. All alumni who register will receive a free t-shirt courtesy of the Tennis program (limited additional shirts available for non-registrants). Reservations are requested.

Saturday, October 4, 2025

  • 8:30 a.m.  |  29th Annual 5K Run/Walk sponsored by the Center for Service Leadership

Registration will take place in the Goodwin Performing Arts Center (behind Miller Hall) beginning at 7:30 a.m. on race day. The race will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the top of Washington Street next to Roberts Chapel. All proceeds will benefit the Waynesburg University Student Mission Trip Fund. Please note: Online registration is only available until noon on Friday, October 3, after which time you will need to register in person on the morning of the event.

  • 9 - 10 a.m. |  Donuts and Coffee in newly renovated Benedum Dining Hall

Enjoy donuts and coffee and mingle with Alumni Office staff during an open house-style showcase of the updates to Benedum Dining Hall, completed in Summer 2025.

  • 10 a.m.  |  Women’s Tennis Match at the Bechtle Family Tennis Facility

Your Waynesburg University Lady Jackets take on the Carlow Celtics at the Bechtle Family Tennis Facility! (GPS Address: 4260 W. Roy Furman Highway, Waynesburg, PA, 15370. Please note, the facility is approximately one tenth of a mile past this address on the left-hand side of the road. Parking is accessible through a small gravel driveway to lots beside the courts.)

  • 10 a.m. - Noon  |  Cross Country and Track & Field Alumni Brunch in The Baily Room, Benedum Dining Hall’s glass room

All Cross Country and Track & Field alumni are invited to join Coach Chris Hardie in The Baily Room, Benedum Dining Hall’s glass room, for a complimentary brunch. Reservations are requested.

  • 10 a.m.  |  Pep Band and Alumni Rehearsal, followed by Fine Arts Department Alumni Reunion Brunch, in the Marsh Center

All former Band members are invited to join Eric Brewer, Music Program Director and Chairperson for the Fine Arts Department, to rehearse and perform with the current WU Pep Band at the Homecoming game. Join Professor Brewer and the band for rehearsal at 10 a.m. in the Marsh Center (basement floor of Roberts Chapel). Then, all Fine Arts alumni are invited to join the group for a reunion brunch at 11 a.m. in the Marsh Center. All those who plan to perform at the football game (1 p.m. kickoff) will head to Wiley Stadium at noon. Reservations are requested.

  • 10 - 11:30 a.m.  |  Business Alumni Reunion in Hanna Hall 105, 204, and 205

All Business alumni are invited to join fellow former classmates for a reunion reception hosted by Dr. Jennifer Roy and Business faculty members in Hanna Hall. This open house will give you the opportunity to tour the building, view the Hanna Hall renovation plans, and catch-up with friends! Complimentary refreshments will be provided. All alumni of the Stover Scholars Program are invited to join fellow former Stover Scholars for a complimentary brunch, hosted by Dr. Larry Stratton, in the Stover Conference Room, Eberly Library room 218. All Education alumni are invited to join fellow former classmates for a reunion reception hosted by Dr. Kelley Solomon and Education faculty members in Alumni Hall (3rd Floor Miller Hall). Throughout the reception, Dr. Solomon and her fellow faculty members will showcase the Education classrooms and facilitate interactive activities. Complimentary refreshments will be provided.   • 10:30 a.m. - Noon  |  Nursing Alumni Reunion in Stewart 210

All Nursing alumni, both undergraduate and graduate, are invited to join fellow former classmates for a reunion reception hosted by Dr. Sherry Zak and her team in Stewart Science Hall room 210. Throughout the reception, Dr. Zak and other Nursing faculty will provide tours of the Nursing Simulation Lab, interactive activities such as finding your photo on the wall, and more. Complimentary refreshments will be provided. Register today to catch up with classmates and make new memories at this signature Nursing event. Reservations are requested.

  • 11 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.  |  Class of 1975 50th Reunion Brunch with President and Mrs. Lee at the President’s House

Members of the Class of 1975 and their guests are invited to celebrate their 50th reunion with President and Mrs. Lee at the President’s House, located at 101 West College Street, directly west of Miller Hall. Reservations are required! (Please note: Members of the Class of 1975 who register for brunch will be able to pick up their special reunion name tag, complimentary football tickets, and free gift at brunch at the President’s House and will NOT need to check in at the field first.)

  • 11 a.m. until one hour after the conclusion of the football game  |  Wiley Family Field Fest (stadium back gate)

Join us at the back gate of Wiley Stadium beginning two hours before the football game for our Wiley Family Field Fest! The pavilion and tent area will be open to alumni and friends from 11 a.m. until one hour after the end of the football game. Stop by for complimentary gifts, snacks, drinks, games, and more! You may pick up your complimentary football tickets and make a name tag at this location beginning at 11 a.m. Additionally, if you are celebrating a reunion year, meaning you graduated in a year ending in a 0 or a 5, you may pick up your special reunion ribbon at this location.

  • 11:30 a.m. until the end of the first half of the Homecoming Game  |  Cheer Alumni Event (Registration link coming soon!)

Join fellow Cheerleading alumni and current Jacket cheer squad members for a meet and greet at Wiley Stadium from 11:30 to noon, followed by a warm-up for performances during pregame and the first half of the game! Included in the $40 registration cost are a limited edition cheer alumni quarter-zip jacket and bow to wear that day and access to food and drinks at the Alumni tent during pregame and half time. Videos of cheers will be sent out in advance to review. Participants have the option to pre-order/purchase an additional t-shirt if desired. All clothing items will be distributed during the meet and greet.

  • 1 p.m.  |  Homecoming Football Game vs. Allegheny College at Wiley Stadium

Your Yellow Jackets take on the Gators at John F. Wiley Stadium!

  • Halftime of the Homecoming Football Game  |  Chick-fil-A Sandwiches at the Alumni Tent (stadium back gate)

All alumni are invited to join us under the Alumni tent, located at the back gate of the stadium, for complimentary Chick-fil-A chicken sandwiches at halftime of the Homecoming football game. Bring your family along to meet some of your former classmates! The 2025 Homecoming king and queen will also be crowned at halftime.

Shuttle Information

Friday Shuttle

On Friday, Oct. 3, the shuttle will run between the Denny House and the following Waynesburg hotels: Super 8, Hampton Inn, Economy Inn, Microtel, and Quality Inn. Beginning at approximately 5:30 p.m., the shuttle will stop at each of the hotels listed, make a stop at Miller Hall parking lot, then drop off passengers at the Denny House. The shuttle then will make another trip to each hotel and to Miller Hall parking lot, then complete the drop off of passengers at the Denny House.

The return shuttle will begin loading at 8:45 p.m. at the Denny House, drop passengers off at Miller lot and then at each hotel, then return to the Denny House. The final shuttle will begin loading at approximately 9:15 p.m. at the Denny House, stop at Miller lot, then drop passengers off at each hotel, concluding the Friday evening shuttle.

Saturday Shuttle

On Saturday, Oct. 4, the shuttle will run between campus (shuttle stop at the corner of Washington St. and College St., in front of Hanna Hall) and the front and back gates of Wiley Stadium from 11 a.m. until the conclusion of the postgame portion of Wiley Family Field Fest (approximately 4:30 p.m.).
