Rea Redd, director of Eberly Library, will have his book, "Altars to Amputations, From Gettysburg Churches to Battlefield Hospitals: A History and Walking Tour," published by Savas Beatie Publishing; it will be available for purchase on Amazon and other retailers in 2020.


Athletic Training students, faculty and staff traveled to the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex for an on-ice spine boarding training session in conjunction with Chatham University.

The Department of Education sent early education majors to visit and tour Montour Elementary School where they learned how to apply growth mindset and the latest technology available in the education field.

The Department of Education also held a "Fall Reading Day" Oct. 31 at Waynesburg Central Elementary School for kindergarten and first-grade students.

Samantha Bruffy and Naomi Wilson, senior chemistry majors, traveled to the 48th Biennial Convention for Gamma Sigma Epsilon and American Chemical Society Centennial Celebration at Davidson College in early November. Both presented their undergraduate research projects and received a $50 award. Bruffy's research earned designation as an outstanding poster presentation and an additional $100 award.
