Fine Arts to host student art exhibit

The exhibit opens April 11

Rachel Pellegrino Mar 30, 2022

Waynesburg University’s Department of Fine Arts will host the spring Student Art Exhibit Monday, April 11, through Friday, April 22.

The exhibit will be on display on the first floor of Benedum Hall and is open to the public.

Featured will be a culmination of student work from the spring 2022 semester. It will include work from several classes: ceramics, advanced ceramics, digital illustration and drawing.

“It's always exciting to see what students accomplished throughout the semester in our Visual Arts Studio courses,” said Emily Wiedner, lecturer in art. “Some students, before taking these classes, have never drawn or sculpted with clay. As the semester goes on, they discover a new interest or talent. This shows in the work they exhibit.”

Access to the exhibit will be Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for students, faculty and staff. Visitors to campus are asked to schedule a timed visit or tour by appointment.
