Jones attends Rockwood Area Junior/Senior High School, where she is a member of National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and Student Council. She is also on Rockwood’s esteemed High Honor Roll, is in the top 5 percent of her graduating class and is enrolled in several college courses.

She has been playing piano independently for nine years and often plays pieces at her studio’s biannual piano recitals. Jones is also a member of Rockwood’s concert choir and has attended the 2024 Somerset County Chorus Festival and the 2025 District Six Chorus Festival.

Jones played volleyball from seventh to 11th grade and has run long distance on the track and field team since seventh grade. As a junior and a senior, she co-oped with the Meyersdale School District team and became an independent cross-country runner for Rockwood at the start of her senior year.

Outside of school, Jones is often volunteering for various community events. Through National Honor Society, she has volunteered at the Seven Springs Special Olympics, elementary track and field day and more. Through Spanish Honor Society, she helped Rockwood’s third-grade students learn about the Spanish language and volunteered at the annual trunk or treat. For the last two years, she has assisted with the Rockwood Rockets Rocket Fuel Backpack Program, where they organize and deliver food to students from low-income families.

In the fall, Jones will attend Waynesburg University, where she plans to major in forensic science and continue her cross-country and track and field careers.
