The Waynesburg University Music Program will host two concerts next week that showcase different musical ensembles. The week will begin with the Jazz Ensemble Concert Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the Marsh Center.
In previous years, Waynesburg University jazz musicians have performed alongside Chamber Works musicians during the twice-a-semester Chamber Works concert series, which includes performances from all small musical ensembles at the University. This year, however, the jazz band will have its own stage.
Three days after the jazz performance, the Music Program will host a Chamber Orchestra Concert, Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the Marsh Center. The concert, titled “Thrills and Chills,” will have a Halloween theme, featuring iconic spooky music.
For more information about the upcoming music events, contact Ronda DePriest, director of the Music Program, at 724-852-3420 or rdepries@waynesburg.edu.
