Senior nursing students enrolled in NUR 419: Clinical Prevention and Population Health will celebrate Waynesburg University’s 175th anniversary by providing free campus wellness sessions with the goal of educating at least 175 people.
Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to stop by the tables at the entrance of the third floor of Stewart Science Hall. Students and staff who interact with the wellness initiatives and participate in mini games can win prizes.
“The students get excited to present to the community and enjoy having people stop by their tables to learn,” said Emily Ames, secretary for the Department of Nursing.
The topics covered in these sessions range from sleep deprivation and stress management to recognizing bad allergic reactions and hands-on AED training.
