Waynesburg University will host the Health Science as a Career Day event on campus Monday, Oct. 16. This event will only be available to juniors and seniors in high school.
“Health Science as a Career Day is an event designed for prospective Waynesburg students that are interested in studying Nursing or Health and Exercise Science as potential majors,” Robert Barnhart, director of Admissions, said. “The event is designed to give these students an idea of what the educational experience at Waynesburg will look like in these majors and also an idea of potential career possibilities in these areas.”
Prospective students will start the day at 9 a.m. with registration, followed by a presentation from Admissions. At 9:45 a.m., the students will break up into groups and begin visiting the different stations related to their major of choice. During this time, they will learn about the major and meet faculty members.
“We will be bringing approximately 150 prospective Waynesburg University students to campus to see our facilities, interact with our faculty and get a taste of the different opportunities available to our current Waynesburg students,” Barnhart said.
After the presentations are done, the students will get a tour of Waynesburg’s campus to round out the day.
