Waynesburg University will host its annual Spring Open House for prospective students and their families Saturday, April 1.
The primary goal of the Spring Open House is to make sure that every prospective student and family member walks away with all the information they need and have a clear picture of who we are at Waynesburg."
Students will have a variety of different activities in which to participate throughout the day. These will include a campus tour, a look at the clubs and organizations Waynesburg University has to offer and meetings with admissions counselors to discuss scholarships and other opportunities.
“The primary goal of the Spring Open House is to make sure that every prospective student and family member walks away with all the information they need and have a clear picture of who we are at Waynesburg,” Sophia Hicks, admissions counselor at Waynesburg University, said.
In addition, there will be a Student Life Fair and Campus Fair for families to attend. The Student Life Fair will include information about the counseling center, residence life, student senate and more. The Campus Fair will be held on the third floor of Miller Hall in Alumni Hall, and it will feature booths representing the departments of the University.
Prospective students and their families will also eat a meal in the Benedum Dining Hall. During the lunch period, anyone interested can meet with Sarah Feldberg, disability services coordinator, in Miller Hall, room 106 between 12 and 2 p.m.
“When our future students leave the event, we want the lines of communication between us to be completely open,” Hicks said. “We hope that it is the start of a wonderful journey for all of us.”
