Waynesburg University has announced Yough High School senior Sydney Hemus as a recipient of the University’s full-tuition Founders Scholarship.
Hemus, daughter of Stephen and Michelle Hemus of West Newton, Pennsylvania, is enrolled for the 2020-2021 academic year and plans to study nursing.
“I feel incredibly blessed to have received the Founders Scholarship,” said Hemus. “It is an honor to have earned this prestigious award, and I am very grateful. It means a lot to know there are others who have faith in my ability to succeed.”
