Waynesburg University Agreements

Pre-Law (3-3)
After completing three years (96 credit hours) at Waynesburg University, students will be eligible for admission into Duquesne Law School where they can complete their law degree in three years. Waynesburg students must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA and have scored in the 60th percentile on their LSAT.

The following resources can be used to calculate potentials costs for the portions of the programs where students would be at Duquesne.

Pre-Pharm
This agreement between Waynesburg University and Duquesne University enables students to receive a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from Duquesne University. There are two tracks for this program.

Because of Waynesburg University’s affiliation with Duquesne University, students can opt to complete the two-year program at Waynesburg University before receiving preferential consideration for admission to the professional phase of the Pharm.D. Program at Duquesne University. If not accepted, students may elect to complete an undergraduate degree at Waynesburg University in Chemistry over the course of one or two more years of study.

Waynesburg University students may also choose to complete a third year at Waynesburg University prior to matriculating into the Duquesne University School of Pharmacy. Students successfully completing their third year at Waynesburg University as described in this Agreement and a successful first year at the Duquesne University School of Pharmacy will be awarded a B.S. degree in Pharmaceutical Science or a B.S. in Biology by Waynesburg University.

Students should note that accepting a degree from Waynesburg University prior to entering their fourth year of the program at Duquesne University will change such students’ status to “graduate,” which may affect eligibility for federal and state financial aid. Students accepted into this program are eligible to be considered for Duquesne University academic scholarships and need-based financial aid funds.

Marine Biology Consortium Agreements
Waynesburg University has a consortium agreement with Coastal Carolina University (CCU). In conjunction with Coastal Carolina University, Waynesburg University offers a combined curriculum toward a Bachelor of Science in marine biology so you can enter professions that study and protect marine life. You’ll complete biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics, and liberal arts coursework during three years at Waynesburg University and finish with one year (at least 24 credits) of marine biology coursework and research at CCU. Even in this final year, Waynesburg University remains the “home school,” for which the student will still receive billing and financial aid through Waynesburg. However, the costs of this final year will be dictated by CCU. These prices may vary from the costs of Waynesburg University.
