We want to make sure the Greene County Incubator reflects the needs of our community and that means hearing directly from you - our community. Entrepreneurs, small business owners and community members, your input will guide what programs and services we develop here.

This project is supported by the Greene County Board of Commissioners
In March 2022, the Greene County Board of Commissioners was awarded a much-needed $1.4 million federal grant for a business incubator project in the Silveus Building in Waynesburg, PA. The incubator will provide workspace, services, access to industry experts and mentors to foster development of early-stage companies and assist current businesses in scaling to the next stage of development, supporting job creation in Greene County. The County of Greene was also awarded significant grants totaling $150,000 from Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation and the EQT Foundation in early 2025, that will provide critical funding to assist strategic planning, operations, and programming for the incubator.
This research is conducted by Waynesburg University’s eHIVE
Beginning in Spring 2025, the eHIVE at Waynesburg University became involved in this exciting project when it was selected to develop a strategic plan for the incubator's operation and planning. Through survey work, focus groups and interviews, this research seeks to better understand and support local business needs in Greene County prior to the opening of Greene County's new business incubator.
