Lecture Information
Waynesburg University will host Dr. David Docusen, president of The Neighborliness Center and the International Ministry Network, on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2026, as part of the Glenn A. and Jane L. Crosby Humanities Lectureship.
In his lecture, "The Spirit of Neighborliness," Docusen will explore God's call in Isaiah 58 to move beyond personal faith and become active participants in the rebuilding and restoration of communities. Through stories of faith, service, and community transformation, attendees will be challenged to consider how ordinary people can make a lasting impact in the places where they live, work, and serve.
Admission is free and open to the public.

About the Speaker
Dr. David Docusen is president of The Neighborliness Center and the International Ministry Network, where he equips churches, ministry leaders, and communities to engage in holistic community transformation. He is the author of Neighborliness: Love Like Jesus. Cross Dividing Lines. Transform Your Community., a book that explores the call to love God and neighbors through practical expressions of faith and justice.
Docusen lives in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, with his wife, Dara. Throughout his ministry and writing, he has encouraged people to engage their communities through compassion, service, and Christ-centered leadership.

Crosby Lecture Series
The Glenn A. and Jane L. Crosby Humanities Lectureship brings distinguished scholars, writers, and thought leaders to Waynesburg University for campus engagement and public lectures. The series is funded by Glenn A. and Jane Lichtenfels Crosby, 1950 magna cum laude graduates of Waynesburg University, and provides opportunities for students and community members to explore important ideas and contemporary issues through the humanities.
