On Friday, November 2nd, nine students in were inducted into the Gamma Sigma Epsilon (GSE) national chemistry honorary. To be eligible, students must have completed 16 credit hours of chemistry courses maintaining a minimum 3.5 GPA.
The Waynesburg University chapter of GSE was formed in the 2007-2008 academic year. Since this time, over fifty students have been recognized for their outstanding performance in and dedication to the chemical sciences. In alignment with the mission of Waynesburg University, the group regularly participates in service activities, performing chemistry demonstrations at local nursing homes, hospitals, and elementary schools. Dr. Heidi Fletcher serves as advisor to the chapter.
