Waynesburg University has selected Eddie Perot as a 2026 recipient of the Leadership Award. He is the son of Eddie Perot Sr. and Mindy Perot.
Perot is a native of Falmouth, Virginia, and a 2026 graduate of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic High School in Fredericksburg. A dedicated student-athlete, he maintained a GPA of 4.3 and was inducted into his high school’s National Honor Society chapter. Perot demonstrated exceptional leadership and academic achievement throughout his high school years, earning awards such as Student of the Month and induction into the National Society of High School Scholars.
As a dual enrollee, he graduated from Germanna Community College with an associate degree in computer science. At Germanna, he maintained a 4.0 GPA, earned recognition on the President’s List, was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa honor society, and received awards for cybersecurity and network foundations.
Outside the classroom, Perot is an accomplished athlete. He played varsity basketball and earned recognition for his leadership while serving as team captain at Point Guard College. He has competed internationally at the United World Games in Italy and Austria, winning a silver medal, and has participated in various camps and community service projects, including volunteering in the Dominican Republic and helping at his local animal shelter.
His dedication extends to his work as a lifeguard, where he ensures safety and responds to emergencies. He holds several certifications, including Red Cross Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR, and CompTIA IT certifications.
Perot is enrolled as a health and exercise science major and will play on the men’s basketball team during his time at Waynesburg University.
