Waynesburg University has selected Kathleen Slaby as the 2026 recipient of the Jeffrey and Regina Taussig Ohio Honors Scholarship, which covers tuition and fees in full.
Slaby is the daughter of Charles and Laura Slaby. A graduate of Liberty Union High School (Baltimore, Ohio), she plans to study Marine Biology beginning this fall.
Slaby was an active member of the student council, National Honors Society, and the cross country and track and field teams. She also participated in 4-H and church activities.
Jeffrey and Regina Taussig Ohio Honors Scholarship
The Jeffrey and Regina Taussig Ohio Honors Scholarship is presented annually to one Ohio high school student who intends to pursue in the sciences or in mathematics. Eligible students must display exemplary academic, service and leadership skills.
