Waynesburg University’s Music Program is set to perform a Chamber Works concert at noon on Thursday, Oct. 23 in the Marsh Center.
The concert is free and open to the public.
This short concert features soloists and small ensembles that meet once a week to refine their abilities in brass, woodwinds or percussion instruments. Students in this ensemble have the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and artistic expression.
“The band is a great place for students who love music and community. We prepare two concerts each semester as a band, and numerous other performances as a Music Program,” says Eric Brewer, director of the Music Program. “Students love the chance to interact outside of their other courses.”

Waynesburg University’s Music Program allows students to major or minor in music in an area of interest through a curriculum that meets the student’s career goals. Under the close guidance of faculty, students will immerse themselves in group and solo performances throughout their studies.
