Waynesburg University will host an All-Majors Career Fair Wednesday, Feb. 22, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Rudy Marisa Fieldhouse.

This career fair enables all students, regardless of major, the opportunity to interact with regional employers with the hopes of landing a job or internship in their field.”

The purpose of the event is for employers and prospective students to meet and discuss potential job openings.

“The career fair is a great way for WU students, no matter their major, to meet face-to-face with potential employers,” Melinda Rush, secretary for The Pathways Center, said. “The companies attending will be looking to fill full-time, part-time and internship positions.”

The event will consist of tables set up around Marisa Fieldhouse, where students will have the opportunity to walk around and engage with a wide variety of employers.

“This career fair enables all students, regardless of major, the opportunity to interact with regional employers with the hopes of landing a job or internship in their field,” Sarah Bell, assistant director of The Pathways Center, said. “At this event, students will be able to engage in meaningful networking and self-promotion. The diverse group of employers who will be on campus represent various aspects of professional life that students may want to explore further through an internship, a part-time experience or a full-time position.”

Students in attendance will be able to make a nametag for employers to easily identify them. Then, at their own pace, they can browse the various tables.

Rush encouraged all students to attend, regardless of grade level.

“Even if you are a freshman, it will only serve to improve your understanding of the hiring and networking process. Many employers will be offering internships for all levels of students, and several have part-time and full-time opportunities available as well,” said Rush.

The All-Majors Career Fair is free to all students and professional attire is required.
