Spring classes have officially come to an end and students are home for the summer. The campus is quiet and the frenetic energy between classes has come to a standstill. As we look back on the past year, we, at the Writing Center, want to thank you for your support. We have enjoyed working beside you and look forward to the next time our doors open in the fall.
During the 2021-2022 academic year, Writing Center tutors worked with 434 WU students and assisted in 923 appointments. You came to us with lab reports, narrative essays, argumentative essays, research papers, and all types of creative and informative writing. You brainstormed, revised, and polished papers for your English, science, history, criminal justice, and nursing courses, among others. Most importantly, you shared your ideas with us. We have learned from you and thank you for trusting us with your words.
For the 2022-2023 academic year, we will continue to offer popular events like the Banned Books writing contest and Banned Books selfie project. We look forward to visiting you in your classes and offering fun writing opportunities for all, like the Creative Writing group. We hope to deepen our relationships with you and offer even more exciting opportunities as the new academic year unfolds.
We are proud and grateful for our home at Waynesburg University and thank you for walking through our doors, whether they are physical or internet based, and sincerely hope to see you this fall. If you haven’t visited us yet, we encourage you to stop at Eberly Library and make your way to the second floor. We will be there waiting for you in the fall. Until then, enjoy your summer, soak up the sun, take some naps, and rest up for another fun year ahead. See you August!
