Kelly Wilczynski

Safety Coordinator, Academics and Chemical Hygiene Officer

Biography

Kelly Wilczynski has a long history with Waynesburg's Department of Chemistry and Forensic Science. Wilczynski graduated from Waynesburg in 1994 with a bachelor's degree in both chemistry and secondary education. In 2005, she returned to work in the department in as a part-time instructor teaching introductory/general education chemistry courses and, shortly thereafter moved into a role involving laboratory safety.

As the academic safety coordinator/chemical hygiene officer, Wilczynski works across campus to help faculty and staff learn about and implement best practices in lab and studio spaces. She also continues to teach introductory chemistry labs and coordinates student workers.
