Waynesburg University has named high school senior Macee Cree, daughter of Jeff and Marsha Cree of Gerards Fort, Pennsylvania, a recipient of the full-tuition Founder’s Scholarship.
Cree will attend Waynesburg in the fall with plans to major in biology (pre-med).
“I feel very fortunate and blessed to have been selected as a recipient of Waynesburg University’s Founders Scholarship,” said Cree. “I want to personally thank Waynesburg University for such an exceptional award that will help me pursue my future goals.”
Cree will graduate this month from Mapletown High School, where she is president of the senior class and a member of the National Honor Society, among many other school-related activities and clubs.
She also participates on the softball and volleyball teams. Cree will continue to play volleyball as a Yellow Jacket.
“I am looking forward to being a part of the Waynesburg University family,” added Cree. “My goal is to keep growing and learning as I encounter more experiences throughout my journey at Waynesburg.”
