Waynesburg University’s Music Program will host a Symphonic Band Fall Concert Wednesday, Oct. 6, at 5:15 p.m. in Roberts Chapel. The event is free, and the public is cordially invited to attend.
The concert will feature the work of several American composers from the United States, Canada, Mexico, Latin America and South America.
“The variety of styles of the pieces will be enjoyable,” said Dr. Ronda DePriest, director of the Music Program and professor of music. “The composers for the fall concert include Leroy Anderson, Rossano Galante, Samuel Hazo–from the Pittsburgh area– and, of course, John Williams. There will also be a couple of feature pieces.”
In compliance with the Keep Waynesburg Well Plan, all in attendance will be required to wear a mask indoors regardless of vaccination status. More information can be found online at waynesburg.edu/keepwaynesburgwell.
