The Waynesburg University Department of Chemistry and Forensic Science, in collaboration with the University’s American Chemical Society (ACS) Student Chapter, will host its annual Haunted Lab on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 3-6 p.m. on the fifth floor of Stewart Science Hall.
The free event is open to the public and is designed for all ages. Young children, middle school students and teenagers with a curiosity for science are invited to explore hands-on experiments and interactive demonstrations.
During the Haunted Lab, Waynesburg University students will guide participants through a variety of science demonstrations that blend fun, learning and a touch of Halloween excitement. Attendees will have the opportunity to see chemistry in action and engage directly with college students who are passionate about science.
“Our Haunted Lab is a wonderful way to introduce children and families to the excitement of chemistry and forensic science,” said Dr. Evonne Baldauff, Chair of the Chemistry and Forensic Science Department. “It’s also a chance for our students to share their enthusiasm for science with the local community in a fun and safe environment.”
Families and science enthusiasts are encouraged to come explore, learn and be amazed by the creative experiments prepared by Waynesburg University students.
