On Oct. 1, Waynesburg University’s Pathways Center held a Business & Communication Job and Internship Fair. The event reached its highest student attendance ever, with more than 100 students stopping by to connect with employer representatives.
Representatives from 20 organizations attended the fair, including NYLife Securities, Audacy Pittsburgh, Coen, Giant Eagle, WBOY-TV and Schneider Downs. The event also served as an opportunity for many alumni to return to campus as representatives for their companies.
Although most employers in attendance were looking to hire junior or senior business and communication students, all students were welcome to attend this event, regardless of their major or class standing. The experiences available can vary based on what each student is looking for, whether a job opportunity, an internship or just practicing their networking skills and making new connections.
After the event, the Pathways Center received positive student feedback, with comments that the fair was "very inspiring and eye-opening" and "helpful in building relationships."
