This year, Waynesburg University is proud to award a scholarship/grant to the winners of each of the pageants occurring in Greene County, including the 2023 Jacktown Fair Queen Pageant, the 2023 Greene County Fair Queen Contest, the 2023 Miss Rain Day Pageant and the 68th Bituminous Coal Queen Pageant.
“We are pleased to support our local pageant winners through this Yellow Jacket Award. My hope is that this is the beginning of a long and fruitful relationship between these organizations and Waynesburg University,” said Matthew Stokan, Director of Financial Aid at Waynesburg University.
The total value of the non-transferrable Yellow Jacket Award is $4,000, being awarded over four years of enrollment at Waynesburg University. Recipients must fulfill the admission requirements of the University and be officially admitted as a traditional undergraduate student, among other criteria. The scholarship is applicable for classes taken at Waynesburg University only.
Waynesburg University representatives will present scholarships to winners of each pageant at the events.
