Alumni Spotlight: Noah and Kylie (Cleer) Delp

Noah and Kylie Delp Sep 23, 2025
Waynesburg has changed our lives in so many ways. We met in Organic Chemistry lab (you could say we really had chemistry), and began dating while we shared morning Analytical Chemistry lab. We have dated ever since and were married in June 2025. We have two rescue dogs that we love dearly!

We feel we received an exceptional education that truly prepared us for our futures. After graduation in 2021, Noah attended Chatham University and earned his Master's of Physician Assistant Studies. He has worked for UPMC as a PA-C for the last two years. Since graduating in 2020, Kylie has worked in private sector medicine, and currently works in Mortgage Servicing for First National Bank.

While we did not pursue "typical" chemistry careers, we absolutely feel our time as Biochemistry majors at Waynesburg prepared us for our futures. Noah uses Chemistry in explaining disease processes as well as medication titration. Kylie credits her love of spreadsheets to Dr. Davis. Beyond the information we learned in class (we still joke about whether the particle is actually in the box), we feel we now have a carefully constructed method for problem-solving and generating solutions that we find to be assets in our careers.

Department of Chemistry and Forensic Science

Waynesburg University sets itself apart with $1 million in new, cutting-edge chemistry and forensic science equipment routinely used in professional labs, providing students with unmatched hands-on learning rarely found at similar institutions.
