Waynesburg University’s Sigma Tau Delta Honor Society hosted a “Reading with a Reason” event Friday, April 22, for Carmichaels Area High School students.
Alexandra Morar, senior political science and history major and president of the University’s chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, was awarded a grant through the University’s Center for Service Leadership, which she used to organize the reading festival.
The festival focused on youth empowerment, and topics included overcoming self-confidence issues, body image insecurities, loss, and other life obstacles. The schedule included lectures, a writing workshop and other activities.
